This is a sketch that's been sitting in a corner for months now. I finally finished it (well, as finished as it is going to be) a couple of days ago and my friend Anja scanned it for me.It's supposed to be Will Parry and his dæmon Kirjava, from Philip Pullman's "His Dark Materials" trilogy. I actually pretty much picture him looking like this, so that's all right. Not too happy with the background, though, but that's not so surprising...

Hmm.. I don't know. I'm not sure the colour is specified. They're dark, but I think that's about all we're told. I always imagine them to be brown. I know that Lyra's eyes are blue, if that's any help?

I know Lyra's eyes are blue, I just wondered what color were Will's eyes because I've seen some drawings where his eyes are blue and other where they are green. anyway, thank you for answearing me.

He reminds me of my late uncle. And Kirjava is just as she is supposed to be: you can read a thousand emotions from her face. Great illustration!
