Description Me and a friend planned and arranged a Harry Potter - Party, a tribute to the new movie kind of. At first, the plan was to arrange a marathon-nigt, to watch all the other movies to "warm up" to the new one - it ended up a major costume party, where all of our friends got assign their own role and everyoune had to dress up in costumes.
We watched the movies troughout the week, as we got everything ready, and then we saw OotP at the party-night.

Me, and , made these wands. We gave every guest his own special wand as they arrived, and it was a BIG success!! ;D
They are made out of chopsticks and hot glue...easy, and very effectful! Aren't they cool?

I like these textures on the wands, they make the chopsticks look a lot like wands!

These wands are beautiful. Checkout some of mine on my page. I take branches from trees near our house and make them into wands. I do like one a month though.

I used your tutorial to make some wands for my kids and they freaked out! I used wooden dowels and some fake plastic skulls for their (all Slytherins at heart). I am sure the "oh could your mom make me one(s)" will come rolling in soon. Thanks for the info it was very cool!

there is a tutorial here:[link]
they're both cheap and easy to make
- you should give it a try yourself
- much more inexpencive than for me
to make one and send it to you

no need to be jealous...they're real easy to make!
- the only reason we made so many, was that we needed
thirty for our party-guests!

And yes...having about thirty friends willing to attend
to a HP-party, "forced" to dress up as a given character
- well...that's a thing to be jealous of!

Have to love them!

regular acrylic - ours were a tad too shiny in my opinion, but that's up to you!

I will My friends and I are going to have a Harry Potter Movie Marathon in preparation for HPDH I think we will make them there. What kind of paint did you use exactly? is it wood stain?

we used regular acrylic paint...the one you use on canvas...
- and it was really inexpencive as well!

Oh, have fun on the marathon! That was exactly what we did
when the last movie came out! *lots of fun*
