Description I finally managed to get a couple of games of Shadow War Armageddon in, and this lad is the leader of my Bad Moon Warband, Boss Grogslag. I decided early on that both Power Klaws (too killy for the sort of runts we'd be running into) and heavy weapons (too many teef just to make some noise) were out, so Boss Grogslag hefts a Big Choppa, which is both very solid and nicely cheap, as well as a suitably spiky set of 'eavy armour.

However, the Boss is still a Bad Moon, and when I planned out the Warband I realised that everyone, even the Yoofs, had a bigger gun (ie, had a gun at all) than the Boss himself. Suffice it to say that one of the Yoofs had a terrible accident and the Boss got a shiny new Kombi-Skorcha.

Mostly, Grogslag is built stock from the Nobz kit, with the main addition being the Kombi-Skorcha. I far prefer the axe to be held in the two-handed grip, but the version of the gun in the kit is also designed to be held two-handed and has the hands moulded on into the bargain, so it was time to get the big hammers out. I cut the Skorcha attachment off of the gun in the kit, and attached it to a suitable spare Shoota. This weapon also had a hand holding the grip and trigger, so I cut the back of it off and replaced it with the back of one of the holstered Kannons from the Nobz kit. A strap made of Green Stuff hides the join and helps explain how it's staying on. The fuel line for the Skorcha was cut off and replaced with a length of plastic-jacketed heavy wire from a paper clip, which was held in place by a couple of Green Stuff jackets, and the small fuel canister from the original gun was attached to the Kannon grip.

Painting was in my standard Bad Moons style, with the Boss' skin based on Waaagh! flesh since he's the 'ardest Ork in the warband and therefore the darkest green. To fit in with the city boards we've been using for Shadow War, the base was painted in Leadbelcher with some Stirland Mud patches before the whole thing was washed with Nuln Oil Gloss.
