To train myself to build better maps, I've recently decided to make some maps according to a one-word theme chosen randomly.
This is my "Fancy" render for a map. Our invisible warrior decides to explore the Chocolate Mountain, where strawberry and pear-shaped mushrooms grow. The water here is actually peach syrup. The trees are made of cotton-candy. The "Banana Moon" at night is looking somewhere...
