TADAAA! Damn, this took a long time.

Yay. I think it turned out quite decent. I suggest you DOWNLOAD to see it more clearly. I'll have the individual pieces in my DBZ folder in my gallery if you'd like to see those.

I chose the outfits in chronological order, so I hope you can see her subtly aging.

Hmm...Toriyama really likes putting her in purple socks.

Sorry if your favorite look of hers isn't up there! It was really difficult choosing which outfits to put and which to leave out so I went with my favorites and the most memorable. Sorry for not putting her bunny outfit!

***I put the following paragraph under every deviation I submit that has Bulma in it, but this will probably be the last time I do so (definitely not my last time drawing Bulma, though!), unless I do another tribute for her:

I think people should appreciate Bulma more. Not only is she an amazing genius, she is also the REASON for the entire Dragonball series! Without her, there would be nothing. Dragonball, Dragonball Z, Dragonball GT, and, hell, even Dragonball Evolution never would have existed (though I know we all wish the latter would cease to exist). Don't know why? She created the Dragon Radar and went searching for the Dragonballs. The series is NAMED Dragonball. Sure, DBZ focuses less on the balls and more on Goku and fighting, but who is it that took Goku off of the mountain in the first place which led to him training with Master Roshi, Kame, King Kai and others eventually becoming a Super Saiyan and beyond? BULMA. Goku would still be a naive little person with an unnaturally high amount of strength that would go on giant monkey rampages once a month. Therefore, if Bulma never met Goku the Earth would continuously be conquered by a new all powerful villain every few years (Okay, now that I think about it, it WOULD be cool to see the villains battle each other to take over the world with each new one being stronger than the last, but the world would be a very sad place). Eventually the Earth would explode and all of our beloved characters would die along with it. Including Goku. All because Bulma was not created. Oh, wait. None of that would happen. The series would never have been made and none of us would know what Dragonball is. Bulma is practically the goddess of the series. Yes, if you couldn't tell already, I am most certainly a fan of Bulma. Am I taking this too seriously? Ehh, not really. I just get irrationally attached to fictional characters and feel the need to defend them as though they were real people (I'm not crazy...). Even if you don't like her as a character I hope that you can learn to appreciate her for being the reason you have this series to be a fan of.

I feel bad for Bulma not being playable in Dragon Ball FighterZ.Β  If Arc System Works and Bandai make a Dragon Ball FighterZ 2, I want Bulma in the roster.Β  That way, I can have a Vegeta/Bulma/Trunks team.

I love Bulma to death, but I understand that she's not playable in a fighting game. She's not a fighter!Β

Well, she can gunfight like Launch. I think recreating Bulma like that for the DBFZ sequel would be an awesome idea.

Well, at least now I know where the inspiration for the clothing of the Zoomans from Steven Universe came from.Β cdn1us.denofgeek.com/sites/den… Seriously though, Steven Universe references Anime a lot.

Oh, maybe so! I see the similarities. I haven't watched Steven Universe but I have heard about the multiple DBZ references!Β

While Bulma was the cause for just about everything good with the series, she also: became a total load on Namek where, in order she got made into Nature's butt monkey, whines nonstop about every little detail to our heroes--- totally uncaring about the greater good, the threat Frieza posed, or anything else beyond herself and her own problems; it was justified at first but then it got grating before the third time; and took herself to the front lines of the early Android saga despite common sense and all fore warning, dragging along an infantile Trunks and an unwilling Yajirobe--- as a result, Gero/#20 was able to avoid a royal asskicking courtesy of Piccolo and Vegeta, unleash the much stronger #17 and #18, and indirectly kick start the Cell saga that took place shortly after. I can't deny that she did A LOT for Goku and company all throughout but because of Bulma, Capt. Ginyu was allowed to nearly make a comeback against the Z-Warriors and the Android crisis was blown up to intergalactic proportions because of her. That said, Bulma was at least much more tolerable that pre-Buu saga Chi Chi.

Lovely artwork, by the way.

Don't agree with all your points. Bulma was the one who initially came up with the idea to gather the dragonballs and wish for Dr. Gero's location, so they could prevent him from building the androids (and Cell) but the rest of the group was against that idea because they ~wanted to fight~. She was also the one who identified Dr. Gero. The reason he got away was because all the other fighters were screwing up since the beginning AND could have been prevented had they listened to Bulma in the first place. She also made the remote device to deactivate android 18, but Krillin was too stupid to use it (or too kind, depends on how you see it). Capt. Ginyu and Bulma's frog episode was anime-only and comedy relief, it doesn't happen in the manga. And don't forget the time machine, without it the Z-fighters wouldn't have even stood a change against the androids (the events would play out exactly like the future timeline: Z-fighters + Goku = dead).

Saying she was the sole cause of the Android crisis or made it significantly worse is going a bit far. All the Z-fighters were responsible. Not trying to flame you or anything no hate! I just felt the need to point out a few things in Bulma's defense.

I didn't go as far as to say that the Androids and Cell were ALL Bulma's fault, I just said that the existing crisis was made worse by her need to see the action up close.

Besides, the #18 incident was as much Vegeta's fault as Krillin's. Even if Krillin screwed up on that count, he and Trunks went as far out of their way as possible to evacuate #18 and #16 while Vegeta hindered Trunks' efforts and encouraged Cell to reach perfection.

Regardless, you too make some valid points. Also, the Ginyu frog was in Kai, which follows the manga (which I haven't read aside from Piccolo vs Cell), making it more canon than half the movies at the least.

You make very good points, and I don't disagree! Toriyama tended to often write her as the typical annoying female which does make me understand why some fans dislike her. And yes, I always wondered why the hell she attended the android meetup with baby Trunks, that's just bad parenting. Though Toriyama just used that for story line purposes. I appreciate your thoughts put into this comment and thank you for the compliment!

Afro Bulma was my favorite look. Maybe it was because it was the last really wild look before she got all mommified.

I LOVE how you've even showed the slight change in her hair colour as the show progressed!!

Bulma is my favourite female character, and it's a huge coincidence that Vegeta is my Favourite male character, right from the start. You can imagine how happy I was when he became a main character, and again when my two favourite characters got together!

These pics are awesome.
