So lately, I've been thinking alot of how I would want to do a comic based on my character Platypus Man. A friend of mine and I have been talking about it on MSN, and have come up with some cool ideas. Though I haven't really been sure how exactly I would do the comic, since that's really what I wanted to figure out before I try to get a story going.

I wasn't sure if I wanted to make it serious, humorous (Darkwing Duck anybody?), or maybe a mix of the two. So, yesterday, I was at work, and I had an idea. Why not do both? Up until he becomes Platypus Man, the entire comic would be in a realistic-ish style, like the one shown here in the upper-left and bottom-right corners. Then, after he goes through his transformation into Paltypus Man, the entire look and perspective shifts to this cartoony-fun look (Inspired by my picture Night of The Living Platypi), and with random glimpses of the "real" world, usually to show the viewpoint of another character. For example; In this page, I am showing the viewpoint of the old woman, and then the mugger.

Another idea is that Platypus Man does not speak, he only squeaks. But everyone in-comic will completely understand anything and everything he says.

This is the first concept page, I'm uploading a 2nd one later, my first ever attempt at a fight scene.

This is going to be fun I think.
