Description Other than playing as Dan, there are no joys to be found.

Matches online are some of the worst I've ever seen. So, you pick your favorite character and want to have some fun? Too bad. You're fighting a combo crazy Yun/Yang. Trying to get some experience under your belt? Here, have an onslaught of Ryu and Ken players. Learn how to not suck so much. What's that? You say you're good at games? I agree! Your face is great at hitting my fist.

I still enjoy Street Fighter, but playing online should be fun, not a slaughterfest. This is one reason why I enjoy team-based games like Team Fortress 2. Sure, you may not know what to do, but other players do. Pick Medic or Engineer and observe what your teammates are doing, then go out and do it yourself.

I don't know what it is but i love how her tied up hair things rise up slightly when she goes happy, thanks alot Ryu for ruining it

It's subtle, isn't it? Though it makes no sense whatsoever, making her hairbunsΒ rise and fall with her emotions tickles me to no end! It's how I make Juri a little more expressive than usual.

And then you've got Ryu, who I've got a bad bias against. I purposefully made it so that he had no expression whatsoever- because the damn Shotokan's as expressive as a dried-up stump!Β

I'm still so happy you got the Capcom models to work!
Good Job.

I wish I had more models, though. Rose, Gouken, Dan, Ken, and Adon would make me happy. And skimpy Chris Redfield for mindless amusement.

I know that feel.Β  It's bad enough losing but when you receive gloating and insulting messages afterward, it's even worse.Β  Not to mention that if you do pull off a near victory, there's always a chance of a rage quitter.

Like your picture.Β  Hope Juri breaks Ryu right now.

Fighters are not really focused on the "Casual" genre, especially not Street fighter. The game is based more on how you think than how you play e.g: Looking for patterns in your opponents play, their reactions when they panic and what works for them and shut it down.

Nothing comes easy, much like writing. It takes lots of practice till you can write a piece you really enjoy and it's the same with Street fighter, if you don't learn how to play you won't be able to enjoy it.

I recommend going in the training room and having some personal one to one with your character, almost like a date. Learn as much as you can about them so you can adapt to situations you're opponents put you in.Β

If you want to play for fun there are two options:
1) Play with friends.
2) Dedicate yourself to learning some advantages. (Frame traps, Punish combos, safe jumping ect)

PS: If you ever want some tips on how to approach your opponent physiologically, feel free to ask.

Learn how SF works then. That's what I did. punishes, frame traps, teching, safe jumps etc etc. Trust me those amateur shoto players...nothing but dust...

I want to have fun, not make Street Fighting a damn science.

I don't bout you major..but I find it a lot of fun diving deep into the mechanics. If you truly want to put out those shoto amatuers...you'll have to learn....

How dare she try to be unique! Why can't she learn how to be a Shotokan warrior like everyone else? Much shame! Very dishonor! Wow!

Well, as a Ryu main myself; I'm kinda disgusted by the way people use him...... ): It's so sad..... (Before you ask, I do try out different characters. Ryu's the only shoto Β I use often though.....^^' I play the other shotos only occasionally.)

I think Cammy is damn useful. Used her on SF X T on my PC, and she was as easy as a Shoto.

My friend and I are trying to play SF from two different countries in a private lobby, and can't connect to each other. I'm drinking a cocktail.Β

Friend on Skype: I don't know if it's my computer or yours. Go see if you can play against someone else online.

Me: Me?! Play against REAL PLAYERS online?! Are you crazy?! You know how bad I am! I'll get destroyed!!

Friend: Just try to connect so someone so I can figure out if its your end or mine that's keeping us from playing.

(2 and a half minutes later)

Friend: How'd it go?

Me: I need another drink.Β

Street Fighter is not good at gauging skill levels. If you're starting out, it'll throw you against Daigo-scrubs and other players who will give you such a terrible time.

It's gotten to the point where the only way I can have fun is to play by myself or play as Dan. Even if I lose, I'm still Dan, and Dan is more of a man than Ryu or Ken can ever be. Granted, Ryu is a magical hobo and Ken has all the money, but still, more of a man in Dan.

I want to stand a chance against players who pick those characters, but to do so, I have to play cowardly. I don't want to sit back and hurl fireballs, I want to jump in and HIT SOMETHING.
