While it’s been quite a while since I’ve done Starlight art, it’s been an even longer while since I’ve done any remakes! And the drawing I felt would be perfect for a redraw is a 2017 drawing of Solar, which was the second time the internet got to see her. Deviant Art had this project that would make a pride flag out of peoples’ art. Mine didn’t make the cut (and looking back, I can kind of see why), but dammit, I still had fun making something for it! And what better time for a remake of that drawing with the art tools and skills I have four-and-a-half years later than Transgender Acceptance Week (I know it’s technically Awareness, but come on, like with autism awareness, calling it acceptance is far more progressive and you all know it!), specifically my first Trans Acceptance Week after I came out as trans myself, and especially since Solar has the trans flag colors of light blue, light pink, and white in her main color scheme? Nothing else to say here, not even fleshing out the title any further than I would have to given that it literally is just Solar. And also that you will see Solar again next month in Girl Squad 3 (which, in addition to having Yin from Yin Yang Yo! and the Pink Hemka from Hanazuki as newcomers, will also have my very first drawings of Panini from Chowder and Giggles from Happy Tree Friends as well purely because I really wanted to draw them finally! :3).
