I was not expecting to make this today, let alone expecting another trailer to drop for the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie earlier today! After the first trailer from April (coincidentally the exact same day I released “Meet Your New Animal Crossing Assistant, Gumball!” [which I finished drawing that previous Saturday] featuring Sonic as well as Penny Fitzgerald, Isabelle, Yoshi, and a crossdressing Gumball Watterson with bisexual pride wrist bands) made everyone excited for Pokémon: Detective Pikachu rather than an entire movie starring that guy who’ll pop up near the entrance of your local supermarket asking for change in his little cup, we actually got a redesign for Sonic (along with a delay announced a few weeks later to give the animators and designers more time), and most Sonic fans (myself included) can’t be any happier for it! I mean, of course we’d still have to see what the full script is like on screen (a concern especially required for any video game to movie adaptation), but hey, at least we can now praise the heads over at Hollywood (most notably Paramount) for taking the masses’ uproarious advice for once, right?
