Description
Wanted to finally submit something to a contest. This is my origional Red version team. Granted this is the team I made when I started a new game a couple weeks ago so its fairly new. I'll be updating the artists contacts later to include nicknames and a funny story on the team.

Backstory:
Bunny was Pan's first pokemon. Her father baught him from a conman when she was quite young. Never being exposed to a fish of any type she cried out, "bunny!" Upon seeing it. Despite her fathers attemps at trying to tell her that it wasn't a bunny, the Magikarp was forever then called Bunny. She loved Bunny and would always sneek him treats and talk to him. Upon setting out for her pokemon journey she decided she would bring him. When presented with her three choices for her "officially given" starter pokemon she thought is would be good to have an oppisite elelment pokemon to aid her where Bunny may fail so she chose Bulbasaur who she later named Frenzy for his hyper-active behavior. Whirlwind joined her team shortly after setting off on her journey. She had encountered many pokemon by then but she had always just defeated them. A couple days into this routine she encountered a Pidgy who, at the last moment, used whirlwind to run away. Angered by this Pan became determined to catch this Pidgy, tracking and fighting it for hours but it just kept using whirlwoind!! Finily she had exhausted it to the point it could no longer use whirlwind and she caught it. After healing the Pidgy she decided Whirlwind would be the best name for him in rememberance of his choice move. Nash the Manky was a pokemon she encountered after tripping off a slight slope. In her pain the Manky came to her offering help. He braght her some food and helped her up. Seeing his niceness she thought to capture him and he came easily to her pokeball. Spitfire was the largest pain in her but. She encountered him while trying to get to Safferon but, to her annoyance, it was blocked off. This is when Spitfire came along. She thought to just battle him but after he inflicted burn statuses on most of her pokemon she became so enraged (yet impressed) That she hit him hard with Bunny (now a Gyrados) She caught him with her first Ultra Ball. The eevee was a gift from a wise man on top of a building. She at first thought nothing of the small pokemon but kept him after he proved himself in battle. His proud air earned him the name of Zeus and she baught a thunderstone to evolve him soon after.

I've never picked Bulbasuar for my starter in a game so when I picked up my old red version a few weeks ago I was like, "Maybe I should go a different way with this" Not only do I beat every major battle on my first try with this team I slowly build up, I also beat the Elite Four, on my first try, with pokemon that were at least ten levels LOWER than every pokemon I battled. It took me countless tries on my blue version (this was years ago) with pokemon that matched or were of a higher level than that of the Elite four to beat them. I had chosen charmander for that game. Charmander may be my favorite but I think I may start using Bulbasuars way more often.
