Comments: I got lazy with his neck as you can tell. I drew some of it back in Oct. 2008 and never got back to it till now. Messed up.

Yeh, you might be right about the strings. I found it weird in the beginning also but I kept it like that cuz...I feel making it too sharp will make it end a bit too abruptly considering how much contrast there is with the black.

No, I never add skin pattern. O_o I don't find that necessary if you can use your own hands to draw in the shadings.

Well, I'm blown away as usual. Just gazing into his eyes, you can see it's a fantastically sensitive portrait.
One small thing though.. those white curved lines look like wires. But I'll have a handsome android Jaejoong anyday. ;D

If you think about it, androids were built without a heart which makes them cold in a sense. It's a form of how he has fallen from grace from human to something so out of the world.

The shadow on the lips make him look as if someone smudge his lipstick or something. Lol. But it's all good <3 <3 <3

*thinks* I think I know why. The way you drew his face is facing forward, towards you in which you get a full eye contact from him. But the actual picture, his face is actually tilted where his nose(angle to follow) is going more towards the right and he has smoldering eyes(lol) there.
So because of that, the lighting on yours makes it look as if someone smudge his lipstick(I know he doesn't have any but it's the best I can think of. Lol.). I guess altering the lighting may fix the lips part like instead of putting the shadow there, you can remove it or move it more towards the left or something.
That's what I get if comparing with the picture. But props to you for being able to draw him facing forward when the picture is otherwise. I think that's one crazy achievement!

Typo **I drew his nose angle a bit incorrectly but I never fixed it. He's facing towards the audience instead of angled upward. Like you said where his eyes are suppose to be look at something faraway, it turns into facing at us.

I understood what you meant but when I checked the reference..the only real difference I saw that changed the "angle" was the way I drew his eyes. It made him look like he was staring at the person instead of staring away. Though I agree back in 2008 I drew his nose a bit incorrectly but I never fixed it. It's face towards the audience and not like you said at where his eyes are suppose to be looking at.
Since on my reference picture there is the smear on there. I turned the original to black and white so it brings out the differences in shadows. Does that make sense? I fully understood what you meant though.
