Description
A gun crew manning a Reckas 12.5 mm heavy machine gun and a grenadier wielding a D17 Grenade join other infantry forces, tanks and dive-bombers in an assault on a German position in central France in early 1941. Archania declared war on Germany following its invasion of France and the Low Countries in 1940, and Archanian troops arrived on the shores of occupied France in the winter of that year. Starting from 1941, they gradually drove the Germans out of France by inflicting a few defeats upon them until the summer of that year, when Hitler ordered the bulk of his land forces to launch a full-scale invasion of the Soviet Union, while a few more Wehrmacht army groups stayed behind on the western front to contain the advance of a combined forces of the Archanian Army and French troops under the command of General Charles de Gaulle, who would become the most important European ally of the Archanians throughout the Second World War.
