I copied the epic cardboard props guys style (Raphael) to decorate my broadsword hilt.I used a broken piece of a plastic ruler to define the edges, also a bamboo skewer. You really have to rub the paper in to make a flush, strong bond without bubbles, then work the details with your tools for a while. Its a pain, but super worth
