I'm watching it on VHS right now. Honestly, I don't know which "version" it is. It's 75min and rated PG and released by Warner Home Video.
It's so trippy but I like the style a lot!

Does anyone know how long this movie was put into production? It's very well animated, and it definitely need more praise.

I think the Production Started in 1978, and The Film Probably took 3 1/2 Years to Make, according to an Interview with Art Director Harley Jessup on The Ward-O-Matic Blog.

It was produced by him (you can tell by the Darth Vader screens on the robo-gorilla thing throughout the movie).

Me and watched it while he was in Santa Cruz with me one night. The uncensored version was awesomesauce!

Hey great stuff!! The opening sequence of this movie is absolutely awesome! It includes a Bruce Hornsby song that I wish I could download. They really should have left Botch's opening dialogue alone. If you want to read it see this [Link ]. Not holding out much hope for an all comprehensive DVD. There apparently were serious disagreements between the creators of the movie itself. It also doesn't help that the studio went bankrupt shortly after the film was released. Good to see others have heard of this little gem.

Yeah, it's a great movie, and it's too bad how things can have so much effort and time put into them, only to be forgotten by most.

It makes you thankful for the people who remember the same things that you do, and it also make you thankful for Youtube, and the people who help us remember these things by uploading them.

I actually spent an entire week searching every movie store within a five mile radius of my home and work to find it without any avail. I then went to my library, they were able to order it from another library and I danced. Oh how I danced.

My boyfriend nearly disowned me because, like a little kid, when I brought it home I just watched it over and over and over. x_x

Mumford and Ralph the All-Purpose Animal! Man, I missed that when it came out in early '83 but watched it almost everytime they played it on my cable channels. I've since lost the VHS copy I made of it and also wished they'd put it out on DVD! It's such an entertaining piece of colorful storytelling that I can't believe it was overlooked way back then even though it had George Lucas as its executive producer! Excellent re-creation!
