I got VERY confused for a catagory on this. On one hand, the original character Sonic was from a game, on the other hand, the characters I drew were from the old cartoon and comics, and on the third hand (which I grew just now) this is in an anime style. But it IS fanart from a cartoon/comic, so that's the way I'll go.

Anyway, this started out as a simple thing...then grew beyond what I had originally planned. Story time!
Recently, my love for childhood cartoons was reborn when and I watched openings from shows we both watched as kids. That same night she found a torrent to the entire sonic SATam catoon. Needless to say, I was a fangirl for this show as a child and have been reimersing myself in the cartoon. It's still love. I will always love it. The cartoon that used to get me up early every morning, the cartoon that was depressingly replaced with golf in Canada after the series was nixed.
At work, I wanted to draw Antoine. BUT my skills that I once had at drawing sonic characters...have faded away. So I wondered what they would look like in anime style. When it hit me, if Sonic were human...he would be a blue haired Axel! gasp! this I had to see.....

and so...this was born. This was done ENTIRELY on the computer. No paper lineart here. It had a very funky sketch originally. This picture was a lot of fun and I know many things are wrong with it, but I don't mind.
