My original character Makishi Riki's widowed mother, Makishi (Miyagi) Reiko. A softspoken insurance agent who does her best to provide for Riki in the two years since her husband's death, Reiko is a supportive but rather laissez-faire parent who nonetheless wants what's best for her son. She enjoys the quiet life, preferring evenings in front of the TV with a hot cup of tea rather than trying to socialize with the neighbors as they often don't approve of her son's rambunctious nature. Unbeknownst to anyone else in the neighborhood, in her youth, Miyagi Reiko was known as the champion female pro wrestler Scarlet Fever, having been drawn to wrestling by a friend in college after having left Okinawa to attend university in Tokyo. She rarely lets on about her past life as she thought it necessary to retire before marrying Riki's father... indeed, if only her son knew...!
