Oh no worries, honestly I was mostly a casual fan all my life (growing up on a little G1 and Beast Wars).

Which takes place after the war.
I hate to be a broken record but Robert's writing is REALLY excellent, plus Alex Milne's art is just jaw-dropping gorgeous.

I started getting into anything else, in the mid -80's.
