First of all, I love your watercolors. I think they're very expressive and look almost 'vintage', which is very nice. I know that's just my opinion, however, and you're certainly more familiar with your own work than I. To that, I just say that the best way to improve at something is to keep at it!
As for the photo itself, I love that outfit so much. I have such a weakness for guys with bows holding up their ponytails!
