Description A Barber presenting his craft at the opening of the medieval faire in Hornberg (Black Forest, Germany). Unfortunately for the market reeve he can't bear to see blood should the razor cut the skin...

Oh and take a look at the inscription on the blade of the reeve's sword - it reads "Porta Coeli Tibi Apero" (I open you the door to heaven)

This looks like great fun. Do you have a link to this faire so that I can put it on my Information Page for the Medieval Commmunity?

Sadly that faire isn't a regular one - it was for the 50 year jubilee of the "Open Air Theatre" which reenacts the "Hornberger Schiessen" (1564) regularly.

But for that I can offer you a link (all in German, sadly I haven't found any English pages about it):

The town's page: [link]
The open air theatre's sub page: [link] (this year the reenactments are 2 in July, 3 in August and 2 in September)
A little bit of info about the "Hornberger Schiessen": [link] and [link]
