Description

This image is a commission for Shendude of characters from one of his fantasy cycles, the "High Elf Stud's Eclectic Harem": the yuan-ti and half-orc wives.

The yuan-ti is a mad-scientist type, and the half-orc is her goth-girl assistant who has just mistakenly combined two chemicals into an explosive substance. Fortunately, their lab coats are chemically treated to be resistant to such accidents.

Yuan-ti are highly variable anatomically, so we could have made her look almost entirely human, but we wanted her to look noticeably ophidian. Moreover, the titular High Elf Stud is also married to a lamia, so we wanted to keep the two snake girls visually distinctive. The result is a snake-headed, legless girl, which is a bit of a gamble in terms of visual appeal, though I tried to make her look more feminine with the addition of a veil.

This particular snake girl is modeled after an Indian species of cat snake (Boiga trigonata), though I'm sure that my likeness isn't perfect. I chose that species because of their big, expressive eyes — a lot of snakes look angry, but cat snakes just look surprised.

As for the half-orc, she's the half-sister of a full-blooded orc that I drew previously , so hopefully there's some resemblance.
