Description The old queen had finally found herself alone, the trees as her only audience with the wind to offer her reassuring presence in her time of need. As she entered the peak of the hill called "Enui's Throne", she got herself to the edge. A space where the trees created a small gathering around nothing was where she positioned herself as she looked up at the night time sky. She was silent, as she sat herself down. The waterfall beside her was relaxing though she had come here with a question that wasn't so easy to sit with all this time.

She would never forget the day. The day her mate was gone forever. But that was something that hauntingly asked her almost every single day. Even in her dreams. Was Enui really dead? Did he go to the other pride's lands and never come back because someone killed him before the siege took all the members of her pride, including their daughter's own family?

Hova inhaled sharply. "How am I supposed to even know you're up there right now? For all I know, you could be living the life of luxury with another lioness who suits you more than I do... or, you could just be an old man being beaten and starved as their prisoner..." Hova's eyes were growing shinier as tears began to well up. She refused to let them fall, and her nose stung because of her stubbornness. "For all I know, we could be looking up at the same moon right now."

Was this a bad idea? Maybe she shouldn't have come here. It seemed to be getting her all the more upset. She had to wonder to herself if she even wanted to know the fate of her mate. She had formulated so many theories to herself, and never told anyone about them. Not even Dizzy, the lion who had grown so close to her and her family, offering his assistance to her and Nkiru in any way possible. She didn't think she could have made it this far if Dizzy wasn't her shoulder to cry on, or the male role model in Nkiru's life.

A frown grew upon the lioness's face. "You left me here," she growled at her feet. She then looked back up to the sky, like he was watching her. "The least you could tell me is WHY." Was this the best she could do? Force herself to believe he didn't love her to make it easier? Seemed to make it harder. "My sons and our daughter is without a father, I'm without my best friend, the pride is without a king... how could you leave us like this?" Like he had a choice, Hova glared to the sky. Her glare didn't hold much hatred to it, as she was more overwhelmed with the fact that she had been missing him so much. "Please, Enui... just give me a sign. A sign that I'm not going to pass on one day and be alone. A sign that...," she searched for the words, "A sign that you're at least watching over us, and that I'm doing an okay job as a queen. As a mother, friend, guardian... just please."

I've been missing my Hova girl lately. ;3; I wanted to draw her in a time where she's not feeling her best. I feel it's always good to draw characters in their worsts sometimes, and so I wanted to show Hova when no one was looking. Because usually she has it together and she's just fine on her own... well, when no one is looking.

I'm still working on trying to figure out how to make lions look older exactly. And, of course, the moonlight is a wee bit... umm... dramatic? Haha.
