I wanted to draw this ever since I first played through Mass Effect 3 and had that conversation with Kaidan right after he rejoins your crew. There was so much wasted romantic potential... I mean really, just the two of them and the ocean of stars... and all Shepard can come up with is "There is strength in empathy"?
But I wasn't sure which Shepard I wanted to put in this drawing. My Jane? The new default one? Then I read a fanfic by Feuille Morte and decided that it just had to be her Elizabeth. Her and Kaidan just didn't have enough moments like this.
