Description
After his defeat in another fight against Dr. Fate Eclipso decided that he needed more power and his black diamond was not enough. He needed power unstoppable, power that could shake the very sky - the power of the Old Gods. But the Old Gods are gone, locked firmly in the Source Wall, a huge wall barring the edge of the very universe - along with the bodies of every fool who has ever tried to breach that wall. The same fate awaited Eclipso if he was ever to touch that wall - but he was no fool. He chose another person to do that and give him power - the Amazing Man (Michael Holt), the superhero whose power was to absorb the properties of any material he touched. Eclipso believed that only Michael was able to survive the contact with the Source Wall and not be absorbed. Even the tinies fraction of the Source will be enough to destroy Dr. Fate once and for all.

It was easy co take Amazing Man under control - Eclipso had a lot of practice. But even Eclipso, a demon born on the dawn of humanity, was but an insignificant mite dust for the Old Gods. After touching the Source Wall the Amazing Man saw a glimpse of the mind of the Old Gods - and that made him lose control of his power. Eclipso still used this as a distraction and managed to kill Doctor Fate - but soon the demon's own body was dispersed - as well as the body of the Amazing Man. But can the person who touched such amazing power be truly killed? Hard to say, but nobody has seen Michael Holt since. .
