Mahiri was going inside after she waited a few minutes of her kids to return for their first time to catch something to eat.
Her daughters came back with two mices each in their muzzles. She was telling them with an unpleasing look that they have failed their mission.
She always was convinsed that her children would be weak and not fit to do anything. She would be more pleased if she had BOYS instead of GIRLS.
Girls are not fit to rule, they only have to serve the King, go hunt, and take care of the Kings children. But her mate, Reth, thinks otherwise.
He is more than Happy to have them. Mahiri never understood that. She and Reth were arguing about these and other topics that concerns the children.
She left the kids outside and when she went inside the termite mountain and looked forward she met the burning eyes of her mate. As she assumed he hearded everything what she said. After a loud growl she said: "Ugh! They are so useless. They can't even catch something big.!"

After that sentence Reth looked more angry: "Why are you always naggin about them? Be happy that they caught SOMETHING."

She scoffed: " HA! Tey've got a mice. That is what you call something? I expected more."

He groaned: " You always expect more of them, they are cubs. And they need to learn first before they can catch something bigger. Complaining is easy when you don't teach them."

She growled and were with her face so close to his that they're nose were touching one another: " It is EASY to say when you're NOT AROUND! You are always watching the borders and talking to the other lionesses. You are not teaching them either!"

Now he was mad: " I DO TEACH THEM! You are the lioness that often gets mad and leaves them alone for HOURS! They even got often LOST because THEIR mother wasn't WATCHING THEM!"

She was looking furious but didn't answered because she knew he was right. She was very much often mad and just wanted to kick the cubs out. But for her mate it was understandable to do that.

He continued after a long silence: " So NEVER judge me like that ever again.Then you will see me from a side you haven't seen from me before."

She was going around him with no word and laid down in a dark corner, pretending to sleep. Reth then went putside to encourage their daughters again. He has to do that a few times per Day. He was kinda feeling frustrated because earlier she was not like that. But since she got pregnant her mood change totally. He thought that it maybe would go away but he find himself to be mistaken. Maybe time will tell what the future brings up for them.

I must clear something up here, Reth is a loving and caring Father and loves his Daughters very much but his mate Mahiri is dissapointed she has Girls and not Boys.
She is belittering Female cubs and Judge them as weak. While Reth is glad with either genderXD
They often argue about their Children. And it never stopped.
