This is one of my older art posts! It's a changeup from what I usually enjoy posting but it pertains to a large part of my own identity so I thought it important.
Brief history lesson; The Pomo people (Whose regalia the woman is wearing) are a tribe of indigenous peoples native to parts of Northern California! My band specifically are the Robinson Rancheria Band of Pomo Indians! The necklace on display was actually a necklace my Aunt Luwana made and showcased during one of her presentations at a spokesperson conference!
