I couldn't say that a calm animal with a plush-like appearence is scary. I own young Mexican Redknee and she is pretty cuddle!

*giggles* Personally, I'm a fan of tarantulas. But I seem to be surrounded by people who are arachnophobic, so it's fun to see what they say. Where I am, we get the little brown and black fuzz-balls that puff up, realize it won't work, then just scamper on off. It's too cute.

Fortunately, ones who are not arachnaphobics not really creepy lovers, but also normal people. They are small, coward and eating flies and mosquitos)

Very true. And tarantulas can make good pets. I do love the little legs-up-don't-mess-with-me-bro stance, though. But any enemy of mosquitoes and flies is a friend of mine. *nods sagely*

A buddy of mine that I used to hang around with back in the day had a knack for collecting "unusual" (haha) pets like snakes, spiders, geckos... but Bean was my fave lil guy to babysit.
