full view it...Darkheart is made of shadow metal, and its blade is made of necrip (a solid yet flexible crystal form of blood infused with the souls of monsters that devour energy). The blade consequently absorbs energy, life and light, and leaves unsealable wounds that slowly turn the flesh to spreading black tar. No one walks away and lives after getting hit by DarkHeart.
The shadow metal is one of 8 very rare elementally infused materials, and its special aspect is that it will always go back to the same shape after being broken, and if part of it is completely separated then it will just grow back. As with any of the elemental materials, its matching seer can manipulate it. with shadow metal, a shadow seer can change its shape into anything they want.

who is the greatest shadow seer, and he takes huge advantage of the swords shadow metal; using it to increase the weight, strength, speed, length and shape of the sword at will. He doesn't even need to hold it in order to fight with it either.
Made in autocad 02. took 1h and 25m to make.
the sword was inspired by dinosaur bones and certain Gothic architecture, so i tried to use sharp organic shapes and Gothic color tones with recognizable bone structures and overall large portions. by doing that darkheart should have a dark and monstrous feeling matching its dark background and owner.

lolol. well to be critical they could be more smooth, or u could work on some proportional issues, but i understand your constraints. and only a few have tried to reproduce my work. i dont mean to be a stickler about the whole credit thing, but i find my crap stolen all the time, all over the internet. and its important to an artist to have recognition to further reputation

good question. im actually planning on making the machine gun form real soon
but as far as a katana goes.... it would be nice and thick, lots of spikes around the hilt. im not sure what id add to make it original, but who knows, maybe you'll see it someday

It's a really cool sword, and it sounds powerful.

Nice! Looks quite Heavy though. But as you said the seer can change its form. I personally prefer smooth, light, curved blades which I can sneak up under the ribbs.

but like i said, if the wielder is powerful enough, he can even change the weight of blade. making such negative variables negligible

darkheart may be overpowered, but getting the materials for the blade costs over 3 billion lives. and to be powerful enough to use the shadow metal at its maximum capability takes far more than practice. overpowered comes at a price...
not that you where making such argument. but since we were on the topic of weight and negligibility..... tee-hee

lololol. yess deffinentley one of my weapons of massdestruction and fear. dont forget that anything it cuts its completley screwed once the scar becomes tar like and corrodes the entire body. but the morphing abilitys can only be used by really powerful black seers (shadow magic users). so not everyone can just pick it up and turn it into a machine gun (which i plan to model)

well it was all colored in autocad which what i also modeled it in. the backround was made with photoshop

autocad is a program by autodesk (who also makes maya and 3ds max) cad stands for comupter aided drafting. autocad is a program that architects use to make blueprints as well as drafters. it comes with 3d, but it works in an unconventional way. ive just sort of mastered 2002. but i would deffinently not recomend learning it unless youve got 2-3 years to spend learning a program that wount get u anywhere :3
