Okay, well like in the name they have mouths (of course XD) but as their tails. They also have cotton like puffs near their mouths, this is to protect their tails' 'sensitive spot'. All cotton mouths have a sensitive spot, sometimes they even have more then one. Hurting their sensitive spot can cause the to become serverly ill.
Cotton Parts
Common- Common just consists of the cotton near their mouths on the tail. The tail can be very protective of the pony it's on if it feels threatened by another substance.
Uncommon- Uncommon consists of the tail having two cotton parts. That means it's more sensitive and affectionate towards its pony, and others sometimes.
Rare- Rare consists of having cotton on the neck of the pony, multiple cotton parts on the tail, and even some cotton on the hoofs (And in unique moments having two tails two horns and/or four wings;two on each si
