I love thistle, he wasn't always mean if ya think about it. After losing his love to the car was when he got mean. He was grieving and didn't have anyone to really trust or talk to but himself so he pushed everyone away but the ones he later on could see were just like him. Like Tigerstar for example, since he trained tiger to be bloodthirsty especially with Scourge he knew that he could look to him for trust
So I see thistle as a grieving cat, not a monster. Srry I know it's random lol
