That was nice of Sephiroth to reveal his evil master plan to Cloud again And Cloud couldn't take up his sword...because he didn't have it on him? Seems funny not to keep that thing on if they're all fighting each other.

Yeah in Dissidia Duodecim you start with the new story (12th cycle, with the 5-6 new characters), after that is the original Dissidia's story (13th/last cycle)

Well it's actually more of a story mode lol
It works like this:
You make a cutscene where characters talk with text, then you have a battle, you can select how one can win and lose a battle, and each outcome has a different cutscene
So it's: cutscene -> battle -> cutscene -> battle etc.
