Do it! That's how we introduced a bunch of people into the community. One of our photographers came from Taiwan and had never been to a convention. He went and fell in love. Now he gets pictures published in Taiwan magazines. D: It's frightening!!!!
Still, if you get the chance to have them drag you along, take it! You'll have a great time. There's normally a lot of things to do. Which con would you be going to?

if i do. proabably sakura con. i'm not really sure of many other conventions around where i am but i think it sounds super fun! i'm not really sure how i would dress if i went to a con though

Well, pick someone who you feel passionate enough about to play. If you don't feel that you look like the character, personality can really make a costume click.
