Thank you...all I really used was a flash, the 480EX I think, to light up the foreground and model.

beautiful - i think the foreground is a bit too exposed and takes my attn away from the model.
Was this an on camera flash?

yes...I'm using the Canon 580 EX2 flash in manual mode. All I can really say is that I just bought this flash and this is the first time I have used it for modeling, so I am still getting this flash dialed in. However, I thought the exposure came out very good, but thank you for your feedback.
