I didn't keep track of how long this one took me, but I worked on it sporadically over the course of 5 days. I love Birds of Prey. Black Canary is actually my favourite female superhero, but Huntress is pretty high on that list, too.I used Ed Benes' art as a reference, though I took out the "belly window" I hear so many complaints about. It actually doesn't bother me, but ah well. The background city silhouette is just a trace job. Otherwise it would have looked terrible, hehehe...
Is there too much purple in this picture? ...is there such a thing as too much purple?

Never too much purple... maybe she likes that way her body looks in the costume... then again it maybe the result of someone else's persistent design decision.
Either way Huntress is synonymous with purple.

I love it!
I don't *hate* the belly window, but it does cause some head-scratching to think a woman who'd been shot in the stomach three times would wear something to show off the scars.
And no. You can NEVER have too much purple.
