This is the most BEAUTIFUL journal I've come across in my entire life and I'm just blown away by the colors, and how you made this. This is just... amazing. Simply amazing.
I collect journals. It's my weird thing I suppose... I have so many journals but I'm petrified at the idea of writing in them.

Thank you so much! The color on this book is mainly PearlEx powdered pigments. They are awesome!

Ooh looks like I'm going to do some experimenting nowadays. This is going to be so fun! Thank you for all the information and for inspiring me to try something new.

Do you cook the polymer first and attach it after it's baked? So far I've only applied clay to surfaces that are oven safe, so what kind of adhesive do you use to attach the clay after it's baked?

Yes, for this book I decorated the clay and baked it on glass and when it was cooled, I glued it to the book with Weldbond glue. Strong stuff!

I am scouting for work for my Lost Book Club and Museum , and I think this piece would be a good fit. I wonder if you would grant us permission to post it in the club gallery for the amazement and edification of our small but growing audience. I thank you for considering this request.
Best Regards,

LOL! They can be found at art/craft stores. Sometimes you will find them with the rubber stamps, at least you do at Michael's here in Missouri. They are expensive but the pigment is really strong and a little goes a long way! Here is the site for the manufacturer. They give you lots of ideas on how to use PearlEx. [link] Have fun!

That's odd, I looked for them at Michael's here in California and I couldn't find them. Maybe I just missed them. Thanks!

You can also buy them online. MisterArt or Blick Art Materials. I hope you can find them. I love how they look on polymer clay. Especially black clay.
