This journal was created with an assortment of unique, unusual found objects and combined into the most curious and interesting collage. I consider it a tribute to decay LOL!

I find imperfect, flawed and well worn items much more beautiful than shiny brand new ones. They each have a personality that makes them unique and I adore their imperfections.

I've traded art with people all over the world in exchange for unusual items and this is a compilation of some of my favorite things.

Included are sea sediment and ghost eye jasper cabochons; coins from Europe, India and Russia; assorted old glass beads; watch parts; bits of curious jewelry; old keys and key holes; a rusty buckle; a glass gem and a twisted bit of wire. They are set in polymer clay in shades ecru, brown and gold that I have textured and washed in a patina to accent the intricate details. It looks like an archeological dig doesn't it?

The book measures 11" x 8" and has 160 pages of paper lined on both sides.

I've posted a pic of this book before but I like this shot better. I think it is the angle of the sunlight that really shows all of the texture.
