Description

Once again, the musical wizard Glockenspiel tried a new magical instrument that could be a powerful asset for his arsenal.
But it was a theremin this time. And how does that thing even work? Magic it's one thing, but THAT??

Obviously, trying to test the magic of the alien-sounding, strange instrument backfired bad.
The misused instrument turned the mediocre wizard into a strange creature.
Unlike all the other times when the magic could have affected the magical instruments user's personality (like becoming girly and mischievous as a fairy) but keeping their core identity mostly untouched, this time the creature was utterly convinced it was an alien from another planet since forever and it couldn't really comprehend eathlings behavious properly.

The entity posessed innate powerful alien magic. It was not alien ESP powers. It was not advanced technology. It was magic. But alien magic, not the one from Earth. A magic so powerful that it was indistinguishable from technology.

Trying to interact with the humans, the creature started to understand concepts like "gender" and she began to like being called "she" sometimes. But using "it" as a way to referer to itself still was a very good option.
She also understood the concept of "names" and began to call herself "Theremin".

All other interactions she tried with humans ended with them being transformed by Theremin into a lot of things for fun, and continued with her not understanding why they were so scared, running away screaming, and calling the army, that she had to transform into other things aswell but as a self-defense messure this time!

"Oh, well", it thought, not realizing it understood human language all this time.
