Beautiful art. The different sides of Simon.

Honestly, it depends on your choices. Remember the Carcass boss and Gun that the doctor asks for. These two Items represent something in the book.
Carcass = Simon's insecurity and lack of emotional control.
Gun (that Purnell asks for) = Simon's hatred, spite, and paranoia towards humanity.
Ending 1 (skip carcass, keep gun) = Simon kills himself, and was identified as a psychotic killer as he killed the Doctor and Sophie out of spite.
Ending 2 (skip carcass, give gun) = Simon kills himself, seen to be under heavy depression. Acknowledges and thanks the Doctor for his help despite it not being effective. Kills Sophie out of possessiveness. I consider this ending canon IMO.
Ending 3 (Defeat carcass,Β keep gun) = Simon kills himself, very angry towards Doctor's idea of the book (Doctor died btw). Wishes Sophie the best, showing he wasn't emotionally insecure.
Ending 4 (Defeat carcass, give gun) = Simon doesn't kill Sophie or Purnell, and eventually heads onto the road for recovery. However, the two cops that would come to investigate in the other 3 endings were killed instead, who Simon saw both as "Book Simon" in his psychosis. He's happy to have Purnell (The Doctor)Β as his mentor, and happy for Sophie that she found a new guy, wishing her the best.Β ($20 says its David that she got with, but not confirmed).

It should most definitely pair up! I mean...I hate to throw Simon under the bus, but SophieΓDavid would make a good pairing.

Survival ending (success version): Cops stop Simon from committing suicide, nobody dies.
