Hee, the picture is the newest one in my gallery titled 'Firion'. >u<
Yeah, I only used to trace when I was like... really really young and didn't know anything and I would plop tracing paper over Digimon magazines and trace that mega cool picture of MetalGreymon or somthing. Lol.

I like it !! The coloring and line work is so crisp and clean... I need to learn how to DO THINGS with my computer ! Um, if I may point out just one thing... it kind of looks like the right shoulder should extend off the page, in my opinion.
On another note, have you ever read/watched Mushi-Shi ? The proportions of the face sort of remind me of the main character, Ginko... which is seriously a good thing (Ginko is awesome )! He even has silver hair (though it looks way different).
I never got the chance to watch Digimon when I was little . I always hear people saying great things about it, but back then I was much more enamored with Pokemon . I always feel as though I missed the boat on that ....
I'm not sure why, but I never really tried to trace stuff when I was little. Not because I thought of it as being some great evil or anything... it just never crossed my mind . I was a kind of simple-minded kid, even as little kids go !
Although, there's this dude in one of my art classes who does nothing BUT tracing ! I mean, he's a little "off" in general, so everyone is just a bit more lenient on him and I understand that, but sometimes he'll even try to pass it off as his own original stuff . Thankfully he's a bad enough liar that everyone knows it when he does that... he leaves his "reference material" lying around everywhere .

Hey, if you're new at this then you're off to a REALLY great start ! Most of my old stuff, even from just a year or two ago, makes me want to, I dunno... set fire to it or something . Still, I think I'm beginning to even out a little... I'm finding things from years' past to be less repulsive than they usually are !
Mushi-Shi is really really good... I'd recommend both the anime and the manga to anyone . The anime is just amazing in general, but it's also extremely accurate to the original chapters of the manga. Litterally, the only differences are the colors, voices, movement, and background music... all of which are just PERFECT !
...
Sorry, geek moment !
Oh man... that's another thing I never got into: video games ! And again, it wasn't due to the whole "they kill brain cells and desensitize kids to violence" thing, my parents just never saw the merit in buying them, so we never did (can't miss what you never had ). Still, I kind of like watching people play video games sometimes (especially the ones where they shoot stuff ). It's like watching a suspenseful movie, 'cept when you yell "LOOK OUT, HE'S RIGHT BEHIND YOU !!" it actually makes a difference .

I think my little message explosion is partly my fault... half "lazy me", half "I joined two groups, and then submitted things to the groups" .
I remember having a hard time with hands for a little while (most of middle school), but I've always liked the way that hands look, so I think I eventually learned how to draw them out of pure subbornness . Hands are just aesthetically pleasing to me... they were something that I couldn't leave alone 'til I got 'em right . Still, my favorite way to draw hands is in a fist where you're looking at the back of the hand as opposed to the front. It's definitely the easiest... though in all honesty, it is simply easier to draw the backs of hands than the fronts of hands, no matter what position you've got them in. Oh, and I also enjoy mitten hands ! They actually don't look half bad if you do 'em the right way, and if you slowly work your way up from mitten hands, it might actually be easier to transition into more detailed ones (I think that actually might've been what I did ).
I took anatomy 'cuz everyone said that physics had math in it . Math and I do not have an understanding . We are not on good terms . Now that it's all behind me, everyone keeps saying that physics is more about understanding all this vague conceptual junk, which I actually might have been good at... AND I wouldn't have had to dissect a fetal pig ! Still, I credit anatomy by increasing my drawing skills by, like, half or someting. I don't think I'd trade it, if given the choice .
