Lucky Star characters cosplaying as the Sailor Scouts
I searched all Google and DA for an image like this and since I didn't find any I decided to do it myself
I had this idea on mind since a long time ago but had never dared to do it because of the size, I mean, i had never done such a huge composition before; I usually make only one character per page so six people+two cats sounded kind of overwhelming. Anyway, now that it's done I'm really happy, I think I outdid myself and now I'm eager to continue doing more and more. I'm becoming very fond of digital art, it takes a lot of time but it's fun.
But I think most of the time I spent doing this one went to lineart. At first I had drawn Konata as Sailor Moon and Kagami as Rei since their personalities matched, but after giving it some thought I decided to go by the hairstyles.
I totally love Luna and Artemis, they're the cutest!!!
PS: I totally forgot about the tiaras. I noticed it when it was almost finished and finally decided not to include them. I think it's not so obvious that they're missing since all the girls have long hair covering their foreheads...

Gracias, que bueno que te gusten. Gasté mucho tiempo haciendo este fanart y precisamente en lo que más me demore fue en las poses, tuve que hacer varios bocetos de cada una para definir como iban a quedar al final y después tuve que hacer la composición de todas ellas juntas lo cual fue un poco difícil porque nunca había hecho un dibujo con tantos personajes. Me gustaría mucho saber cómo hacen los profesionales para lograr que todos los personajes queden proporcionados porque yo lo hago todo a ojímetro y eso consume tiempo. Tal vez la próxima vez use una cuadrícula...

Youve combined my favorite anime, with an anime that gives other animes horrible names. But all together, i think you did a perfect job! Ive never watched Sailor Moon [fully, ive seen like 2 eps and that was too much..].
Great character match up. Design is all great untlil you get to Tsukasa, her legs look a little funny.[maybe its just the skirt though..]
The missing tiaras i didnt notice till i read the description.

Sailor Moon holds a special place in my heart because it's one of the animes I grew up with but if I have to be honest, I'd say it can be a really boring and repetitive anime. I rewatched it last year and found some really annoying things that I never mind as a kid; the transformations for instance are a waste of time and watching several episodes in a row makes them even more annoying so I skipped them in nearly all the episodes, same with the battles. So I basically watched around 10-minute episodes

Yeah, I think Tsukasa's legs are weird too. Actually there are a lot of mistakes like Miyuki's head, it looks smaller than the others...but you know, I thought that drawing in Lucky Star style was a piece of cake but it turned out to be really difficult. I especially had problems with the legs, they have really skinny legs and I'm not used to drawing that way. Their heads are also way too big and I had to redo the sketch a few times so that they didn't look too deformed Xp In any case, it was a bit difficult but I had a great time doing this

I didnt mean to offend or disturb any SM lover. It has its props and really set the bar from 'Magical Girl' anime. Basically wrote the rules you could say. Now i say its a bad anime because the way their drawn. Really skinny, school girl outfits, HUGE eyes, and i think ones has a rather large bust compared to the others. It pretty much has all the anime steriotypes and if people just see SM pics, tht sets a bad example for other animes. Now seeing how SM is a rather popular, reknown even, anime people are bound to see more than enough of it. Thus people get a bad image of anime. Its kinda like, if your out getting food and you see a really bad batch of apples next to a bunch of normal looking apples. By a normal persons judgement, theyd go 'ew' and ignore the apples and not get them. Replace apples with other animes and twist that around, you get a strange analogy about how SM has like an area effect and give people a bad thought on other animes. Some other 'classic' [dare i say] animes have the same effect.

You did fine. I didnt really notice anything wrong till i really took a look at it. You did a fine job. Just some small things. No artist is perfect or spot on all the time. my last 2 drawings were.. well less than they should be to say the least. ^^ keep up the good work
And im sure you had some interesting difficulties. Combining 2 different styles of anime, is not the easiest thing to do. But like anything, takes practice =3

XD I think you're exaggerating a bit about Sailor Moon being a bad anime but I do understand that you don't like it and your point of view is respectable. It really depends on how you see it because just like SM might give some people a bad image of anime in general, some many other people have got into anime because of this show and many others, just like me, I became an anime fan watching old shows like Dragon Ball, Saint Seiya, Ranma and other classics and I still think those shows were much better than modern anime, but still, I think part of my love for old animes is that they were part of my chilhood, maybe they're not so good as I'd like to think but I love them anyway^^

SM has its high and low points as i said, and really sets the bar for magical girl anime and magic related animes alike.
DBZ isnt bad, ill watch it now and then. Im personally more into Romantic/Drama/Comedies/Action/Tragedy. But nothing with to much of either.
Thats prly why I love Key [animation company] Every heard of CLANNAD or Kanon or even Air Tv? They change a strong man into a weak cry baby at different times. nuff said. Ive cried because of anime scenes before but not like in anything Key's made..

Oh yeah, I've heard a lot about those animes you mentioned and it's easy to recognize that they're from the same company because of the characters desing. I watched AIR a couple of years ago and wanted to watch Kanon but never did, I don't really know why but now that you reminded me about it I think I'll take some time to watch it^^ Oh,and now that you mention it, I've never ever cried watching an anime, I think I'm not the type of person to get over-emotional when watching something, I don't even cry when watching sad movies, guess I'm pretty cold-hearted...XD But it's really cool to know that there are boys who cry watching cute/sad animes; you know, I've never agreed with that "Boys don't cry" sh*t stuff, that's so stupid, we're all humans and we all have feelings. Even so, I have to say I prefer humour/comedy anime/manga, it's good and healthy to have a good laugh from time to time and forget about all things going on around

Haha, indeed i love that. Like i can tell when Studio Bones has made an anime just by character design.
Anything by Key is really funny and comforting at first, then rips your heart out 5-10eps later.. But before and between, they try to cut in some humor for the heart break your about to go through.
Not to complain, but ive been through quite a bit in my life so some things set of my emotions. I dont think its a weakness. But animes like Elfen Lied, were just really sad because it was a tragity full of heartbreak and death. I soon developed a feel for the characters like i did with CLANNAD. But i wont really get into that xD this comment would go on forever about how much i adore Key and CLANNAD

Uh,nooes, I didn't like Elfen Lied, I think it's one of the worst animes I've ever seen. The manga was much better though. Actually, I read the manga first and I thought it was really good, then I tried watching the anime and I just didn't like it, it was plain boring, maybe because I already knew what the story was about

Elfen Lied was awesome. Maybe that is why you thought it was bad, you knew what was going to happen. I for one thought it was a great anime and i hate gore. I wont get into that now though.
Key, okay ill admit, i dont really like the small face, huge eye, design ALL that much, but its something i grew use to and now kinda like. But you cant base an anime off its design. Thats like hating a book because its out of order with the rest. Key has some of the best storylines ever. Have you even watched something theyve made?

Sorry, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, that's why I hate discussing anime, politics and religion, I usually don't do it to avoid problems. I liked Elfen Lied but only the manga,the anime wasn't that bad but the manga is much better. I usually prefer mangas to animes so I'll always say the manga's better^^
And about Key, you should re-read my last comment, I said that the ONLY thing I don't like about key animes are the eyes, and I wasn't talking about small faces and huge eyes, because there are animes which I love and have that kind of face features, like Lucky Star or Mahoromatic, they have huge eyes and small faces and I think they're really cute, I love huge eyes, but Key eyes are just weird, I don't like them. And yeah, I watched AIR and Clannad some time ago, I thought they were ok but they're animes I wouldn't watch again to be honest,they're not really my type, just my point of view. Don't get mad over this thing, everyone has their own tastes and there are animes to suit everyone. I hate Naruto and my brother likes it but we're not going to get in a fight because of that, that's childish

Thank you^^ Yeah, I was impressed by how some of the Lucky Star characters' hairstyle matched those of Sailor Moon. For example, I think Yutaka looks a lot like Chibiusa, it's like she was Chibiusa redrawn in another style with a much more cute personality of course^^ So I was inspired by that to decide who was going to be who and did this. After watching FMA Edward's cosplay on the show I started picturing many anime characters in Lucky Star style, I have some other ideas on mind and hopefully will be doing them in the near future
