This fanart is based off of LunaSphere's PT story This Pendent Heart on fanfic.net. The story is skillfully and elegantly written, and is one of my all time favorite Princess Tutu fanfics. After a recent update to the story I couldn't get a fanart idea out of my head and so here it is. I'm also still working on my PS coloring skills and have tried a different approach than before and I think it's turned out quite decent. i read the story and i have to say, wow i loved it. in the interlude, was duck's hair cut, or was her braid just hidden? loved the story and the pics

When Mytho first carries her into her room you see her braid, so it's just hiding behind her when she's laying down.

Thank you for posting your drawings here as well as in Pixiv! if it weren't for you I would have never discovered the little gem of "This Pendent Heart" I had always felt I wanted an ending and "TPH" gives you just the right resolution, and the right problems and the misery, it is very well put together! and I loved your art! would you mind my printing it and using it to make a book out of the story with your art?

I love the picture. But there's a small glitch about the poster and it's Rue's hair, her original hair color is dark brown. And Fakir's face should be facing over here, the front of the picture so we can tell if he's in a trance by the raven. And more to the background of the poster like the view of crowntown of what has become after fakir's causes.

I absolutely adore it! This piece definitely does justice to the story. I love the use of the gear motif from the show as a way to frame certain characters. Fakir is probably my favorite because his pose reflects his role/personality/emotional state?/whatever in the story perfectly.

Beautiful and intense! It definitely captures the heart of the story. I love the gears, and the eerie additions like the raven in Fakir's cloak and the tampered manuscript. I'm thrilled you got Autor in there, too.

So pretty! Rue looks so beautiful and sad in her swan dress. And I love the fanfic this is based on. I haven't come close to finishing it, but it is heartwrenching in a way that only Princess Tutu can be.

I admit it was this image that motivated me to start reading it, but it is every bit as enchanting as you mentioned in the comments.
I really like how the gears and characters overlap in this image. Possibly not the most important part of this piece, but I like the effect nonetheless. Also, the rusting of the gears, and the fact that the image of Tutu is the smallest. I'm not even halfway through, but this struck me as another great detail. It seems like the story is focusing on Duck herself, moving away from character of Tutu, so I found this appropriate.
