This is a cg painting I did for my mom's bday... I did the original in bic pen and then spent waaaay to long cging.....this is my first real cg piece......please be gentle with me.....I am ecstati with how she came out.Related content

Aiie--firstly, I'm sorry I didn't respond to you on MSN earlier. I left it on all day while at school, so I didn't see your message until now.
Anyway, this looks lovely. I'm very much liking her pose and the design of her kimono. The colors you chose complement one another nicely as well.
I have just a couple of crits which I hope will help some with this. For future pieces that you want to scan in and CG, I'd suggest making the lineart a lot stronger. The thicker and darker the lines, the easier your life is. As a side note--what program did you use for this? 'Cause if it's Photoshop I can give you some more tips to add depth to this one.
Overall, for a first real CG, you've done well.
