Finally finished this one! Beast Boy and terra, quite opposites, which is exactly why I think they would be perfect together. **Grinchy SPOLIER ahead!**O Man! That last episode totally made me so mad! Happy, but mad! Whats worse is the fact they may never finish the next part of the storyline since no new season is ever supposed to be scheduled again

A lot of people want to see Terra and BB get together. Personally I think it will take more healing, so I drew her walking away still, a small smile on her face. Take care, titanphiles, I think she may come around someday. At least she accepted the communicator from him 8D
Drawn in blue pencil, which can be found in my scraps, digitally linearted and colored in Photoshop. Total time ~ 6 hours
I am posting a second, unperspectived version as well, for those who love Beast Boy more than Terra. Enjoy!

Who would of thought that a toon could pack so much emotion and get people to feel angry, sad, happy and all that other stuff that a "GUY" like me will never admit to feeling from a ...sniff sniff...silly cartoon. Something in my eye, i gotta go.

I like your composition for "A Hopeful Smile". I like the overall brightness of the piece versus the dark colors of Beast Boy. The blurring effect of the objects helps to communicate the sense of space within the piece. Finally, I like Beast Boy's subtle weight shift. I am not so sure about the fore-shortening of Terra's arms, however. The arm holding the communicator is pretty good, but I am not sold on the arm brushing away her hair. Perhaps make the elbow a little bit wider and taper her lower arm and hand as the appendage recedes towards her ear? The foreshortening on Beast Boy, however, is EXCELLENT.
Dude, Terra is sporting the "consolation smile" 3000% - she didn't even LOOK BACK at Beast Boy. Damn.

The cartoon show handled things *very* differently from the way the comic book did, lo those many years ago (I read the "Judas Contract" story arc waaaaaay back when it was first published...ye gods, I'm old...)...
