Old character, I haven't been doing much for the past few years, so it's just so rare to see him I think this guy needs some explanation.Narukami is a Youkai/Yookai, wich in a way can be described as a class of supernatural creature. This one is the Youkai of Fall/Autum. He's of a very bright tone of red... *cough*pink*cough*
Not showing his mouth is part of the character's concept, he does have it, it's just that you're supposed to ommit it as much as possible, as for the lightnings, he has no lightning powers, just think of it as an abstract way of showing his chi/spiritual power going over the top (or simply that he's mad). He isn't usually this beefed, I just wanted to make a Kenshiro (Fist of the Northen Star) interpretation of him. Omae wa mo shindeiru.

Do you know InuYasha? I guess you do.
Somehow, this wolf demon made me realize how InuYasha would be if he went through a full youkai transformation. As he's a hanyou, he'd have this humanoid form, different from Sesshoumaru's.

Yes, I like how the Inuyasha anime renders the concept of Youkais, in the sense that they're spirits with physical forms and yet bound to certain rules of the livings, some can be killed or dealt with in common of specific ways, yet they can be anything, from giant monster-ish dragons to the tiniest harmless ethereal creature.
But all that credit really goes to the Japanese folklore before the anime.

Shit, how can you still be getting better and better? Man, I love this character of yours, seriously. I like the old drawings more than this one though. The muzzle seems a bit odd this time, doesn't it? A bit too narrow, maybe? It's great anyway, keep it up and make us happy and proud!

ah, that's part of why i like him so much, though. you didn't want him to be just another furry in a sea of them. you've given him thought and at least a little direction. it makes him fun. (and also, he's pink. tough guys wear pink.
