There is something is something about this piece that has really grabbed my attention and won't let go. The whole cave concept itself is quite enchanting, but I love the colors. The whole thing is comprised of different shades of blue - and blue is my absolute favorite color. What I also like about this piece is the textures. The cave wall, floor, and the rocks have a very realistic feel to them.
The only thing I'm wondering about are the two diamonds that appear to be floating in mid-air. That looks a little weird - cool, but weird. If that's what they are doing, then the concept isn't so bad, but if they're meant to be embedded in the wall or ceiling, then it could be improved a little.
Other than that, I think this absolutely beautiful. It's calming and peaceful, and very well done.

Okay, this is really good! The crystals were colored properly to a good shine to it. Even the normal rocks were colored accurately and the shining scratch effect gives a feel for the texture. However, the wall is just, there, you know what I am saying? I would think that the floating crystals would glow a bit on the wall, right? Also, the ground need the shading of the floating crystals. Other than that, I think this is a fair background! I'm glad you are practicing different backgrounds!
