Description I remember that night
The alcohol was so strong
Everyone was ready to crash
But I wanted to be gone
She was married
She had her own children
She wouldn't divorce
Or wait until then
She was so drunk
That we had to help her walk
I remember putting her down
I remember hearing you talk
She asked, "Why are you doing this?"
As if she couldn't see truth
You looked at her sincerely
You said, "Because I'm in love with you."
My heart fell onto the floor
I watched you kick it aside
You pulled her clothes onto her
As I died completely inside

We're together now
You stopped speaking to her
But every now and then
You show me who you'd prefer
You still check around
You still try to find how she's doing
As though it was your responsibility
While I sit here stewing
I will never be here
I never will
As long as you keep watching her
I can't be still

You don't see how it pains me
You don't see how it drains me
You can't see how it shames me
Not being the her I can't be

And I'm sorry
