Description Sorry for the big preview I was hoping to show off everything in one go, but I don't have my big monitor anymore, so I have to make do with forced resolutions on my laptop...

A Work-in progress.

Obvious inspiration from Skimmer.

VS | Snoheso by dmone
TrueTransparency | SEAL - WIP
LS | SEAL - WIP
CAD | SEAL - WIP
Launchy | Based on Gaia09
MPC | Not much changed...
Wallpaper | Waves by Benijamino

The clock is toggle-able and in litestep.

One thing I really like is the command box - it can toggle between scrolling information and accepting commands.

It's an app called findexer: [link]

(the builds are all beta/nightly builds but just get the latest one)

Instructions for the install are here: [link]

Hope this helps

mangosango In reply to calgarc [2009-11-16 15:13:17 +0000 UTC]

haha, I can't work out how to skin linux for the life of me. If you (or anybody else) wants to port this over, then that would be great!

calgarc In reply to mangosango [2009-11-16 16:56:52 +0000 UTC]

i would do it, i just to get off my lazy ass... and most designs on linux are svg based vector Operating System

AlbinoAsian [2009-11-16 11:46:46 +0000 UTC]

ok ignore my last stupid comment, I saw the GNU and thought it was linux stoopid! so how did you about the forced resolution on XP, just let you do it?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

mangosango In reply to AlbinoAsian [2009-11-16 14:43:52 +0000 UTC]

Haha for the forced res: I had to go to display properties > settings > advanced > monitor and uncheck the "hide modes that this monitor cannot display" and it worked.

It's weird through, because it compresses my screen to get the image to fit. I heard that if you get hacked Omega drivers, you can force your resolution to go up to 2560x1600, but the graphics chipset on my laptop isn't supported because it's too old .

oh dang this is sweet... I will definitely be giving this a go on my Ubutu, is hard to force resolution in Linux?

I also wish I could do it in Win7. I used to be able to do it in my XP, but in Win7 it doesn't seem to let me

dmone9 [2009-11-16 11:34:42 +0000 UTC]

thats really nice and i hope you will release it. would it be possible to test the ls theme?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

mangosango In reply to dmone9 [2009-11-16 15:04:42 +0000 UTC]

It probably won't see a full release, mainly because I don't have the time to make sure there aren't any bugs, test, etc. If you want to test it though, I've zipped everything I used: [link]
