This piece is dedicated to ~seoinage , who introduced me to the masterpiece that is Howl's Moving Castle.

So yeah, as usual, I got completely addicted right away and just *had* to do fanart after I finished watching it the other day **fangirls like whoa** This is from the alleyway scene at the beginning.

Howl is just... **blissful sigh**

I mean, come *on*, this guy makes cooking bacon & eggs and cutting a slice of bread sexy!!

On a less fangirl-ish note, I'm not actually 100% happy with this. I didn't get his eyes or his smile quite right and I simply *hate* his nose. Still fairly decent for a first try though, yeah? Next time I'll get you right, Howl!!

Oh I've never really liked that piece but I'm glad you do! (And yes, I still think the breakfast scene is one of the sexiest scenes of the movie -- he just looks so much younger with his dark hair)

Aww, don't be so hard on yourself! I have massive problems with noses myself, and this looks excellent. ^_^ Very smooth lineart. I was fangirlin' for a LONG time over Howl. XD It's not as bad now (now I'm hooked on Fay from Tsubasa Chronicle), but he's still awesome. Wanna draw him sometime.

I'm very much in fangirling mode over him right now and I don't think it'll get any better when I get the DVD next month. I'll be able to make *loads* of HQ caps to help me draw him again and again until I get his nose right!! **lol**

It's a good read. It's very different from the movie though, character design wise.

I haven't seen the original character so I can't tell you my opinion on his eyes and smile, but you still did them really well, and I honestly can't tell what's wrong with 'em.

I didn't get to see it when it came out in the UK a few months ago because they didn't show it in my nearby cinema **grrrrr** but then I recently got a...err...copy **cough** I'll be buying the DVD as soon as it's available here though. Only got to wait for a few months.
