my little girl Wyse, looking pretty in pastel.one of her greatest loves in life are apples. she is mad for apples. she'll climb high mountains, crawl fiery chasms - all for her crunchy, fresh apples. she's even got hammerspace in her shirt for endless apples.
hence the little apple parody.
wow, we've even got her into something feminine for a change. that's nice - i hope her grotty shirt's in the wash.

I agree- her expressions are always sweet and gentle. I can understand the apple-fetish.
Also, you did a really good job getting the pose to look natural and relaxed- out of curiosity, how do you start your pictures? Bubble-characters? Or are you one of those lucky people who can start with details and go merrily on your way?

thanks. i love drawing her, she's almost relaxing after Little Mister McAngsty-Pants. i use a bubble-head, sometimes a bubble-torso, and use motion lines to sketch out limbs and spine. from then i pretty much just go on my way, but with much going back to refine things and remove lines. then i ink them, scan them and colour them on photoshop. what about you? what technique do you use? i absolutely love your art style, your characters are so well proportioned.

I use the same technique! Bubbles are a wonderful method of fleshing out characters
