Description A request painting for my friend

I lost track of the hours spent on this one. I think I'm improving my fur and technique a bit.

Every comment and favourite is greatly appreciated.

Hope you like it Umbra!

Thanks! Fur seems to be one of those things that you can never fully learn how to draw. Light hitting small strands is hard to reproduce.

Amazing, the technique is so great at first I thought I was looking at a Photograph!

Thank you! I do like how the fur turned out, but like someone said earlier, the eyes were a bother for me. - I need a better tablet with pressure sensitivity to achieve greater detail.

The fur looks really realistic and the anatomy is great!

That's how I like dogs. I think they are great as long as they belong to someone else. It's too much work for me personally; like having a little kid who never grows up.

Yeah, I'm a cat and horse person, but have found myself working at dog daycares with 40+ dogs barking and jumping and eating each other... glad it was part time and I could just walk away from them all at the end of my shift. I do own an Irish Wolfhound cross that practically takes care of himself though. I love him because he causes me no grief.
You just have to get the right dog. I like the lazy dogs, lazy like mee.

Yeah I saw your gallery. I have had a Manx cat before. My favorite cat i ever had was a persian, but you really shouldn't let them outside. They have some really cool breeds now that weren't around when I was a kid; like the rag doll. I was around horses also from time to time when I was growing up. As far as art is concerned I like the short haired eastern breeds of cats and the small slender breed of horses. The most beautiful painting I ever saw was of a Chinese woman sitting on a chair outside in a garden. She had huge eyes out of proportion to her face and flawless skin and a slender cat sitting up in her lap and his eyes were equally out sized. The limited edition print sold for 5 figures and the original sold for 6 figures. That's when I decided to try and depict an altered reality in my future art; sort of an enhanced beauty. After all, a camera can capture what we see, but what about what we would like to see?
