Just short of your birthday :'D but since you're celebrating on the weekend it still counts as a gift as well

This piece comes with two sister drawings here: and that I've done previously. The three characters are siblings - Lucille and Leofwine, respectively, and in this picture the youngest Crawford. That completes the trilogy xD

Crawford is a born genius who understands both the old and new of his world, Perhaps even born ahead of his time.
Here he is in the midst of some old ruins on the outskirts of a city long gone. He's found something rather peculiar, a piece of string metal that is bendable although a bit hard to do it. It has piqued his interest, so he's sitting down to observe and study the material.
Close behind him, that's supposed to be a lion head statuette. I imagined this was a thriving city once, with modern technology, most likely ruled by apex predators and those at the top of the food chain. It is now however a desert wasteland. But it's left some very valuable materials and inventions for others to find. I imagine Crawford heard of this place and came to investigate.

The background took the most time since it was all painted but it was also a bit new for me. I don't usually draw architecture but with some reference is came to be quite well. The shading is soft and fluffy with short fur as otters have. It;s the current style I mostly use and still work on improving.
